Oncidium wont bloom 2years

[ATTACH][/ATTACH]hi great info thanks we really arent getting any sunlght thought this time of year 8 hours of light and barely any sun, thing is its in a west facing window in my living room by a window- at room temp - does it need to be colder for it. ? also one of the new growths had a bad leaf that pulled out! and main leave piture attached is brown at the tip- part of me thinks im doing something really wron with it despite its growing these side growths out of the pot!!
