Oncidium wont bloom 2years

I grow my Colmanara Wildcat outdoors during the spring/summer and beginning of fall. When temps at night stay as low as 7 C for a few days in a row, I bring it in. I grow it on a North-East faced balcony and never let it dry out between waterings. The pb give me a good indication when to water (when to start to shrivel - that's before the medium is dry).
I don't know if all Colmanara's behave the same, but mine started a new spike when the growth matured (right after that).
My plant seemed to like the treatment it got, it rewarde me with almost 60 flowers on one branched spike.

Before your's will flower the new growths (three of them?) have to mature. It will take a while from what I can see, because they still have to grow a lot before they start a pb.

Currently mine has done flowering and is in a "cold" room (room without heating were I can open a window to keep temps low, about 13 C max). It is starting a new growth. This room has a South faced window. Mine doesn't get supplemental light this time of the year and despite the dark short days it does well for me. We currently have about 8-9 hours of day light, this includues dusk and dawn, prolly pretty much the same as you have?

More light and maybe a tad more fertilizer (6-30-30) does it for me.

I agree with Bluezz (Nicole) they don't like to get too warm - I grow my Colmanara 'Masai Red' in an unheated room - and it has spiked twice from the same pseudobulb this year, after being divided into two plants in March. I'm probably even further north than you. It likes its food and water but it doesn't get put outdoors, just an east facing window. The other half also produced a single spike and I'm hoping for a nice red flowering orchid just in time for Christmas - saves buying a Poinsettia!

thanks so much im fertilizing 1x a month or so with shultz orchid food 19-31-17 what wattage of grow light would you suggest and for 4-6 hours a day? thanks for all you help!

[ATTACH][/ATTACH]hi great info thanks we really arent getting any sunlght thought this time of year 8 hours of light and barely any sun, thing is its in a west facing window in my living room by a window- at room temp - does it need to be colder for it. ? also one of the new growths had a bad leaf that pulled out! and main leave piture attached is brown at the tip- part of me thinks im doing something really wron with it despite its growing these side growths out of the pot!!
