Rodriguezia venusta
Second bloom for this one. Last year it produced a single spike, and half the buds blasted. This year it seemed to find its mojo: six spikes, all buds present and accounted for. Really makes a bright spot on the shelf, and makes me smile to look at it on a gray day like today. Small Oncidium relative, growing in a 4" Vanda basket with a handful of bark. No scent that I can pick up on, but maybe it will appear after all the flowers have been open for a few days. Thanks for looking!

Stephen this is awesome, just beautiful, a very happy plant. Rodriguezia venusta is very new to me. I will have to do some reading on that one.

Wonderful growing, Stephen! That is such a beauty and I'm so envious because I had one of these but it just didn't like my place and succumbed.

Stephen
Beautiful photo and great culture.
I am puzzled by your report of no fragrance. I have one that was sold to me by Miranda that is very fragrant and bloomed even in water culture.

Also a bit puzzled here. Everything I've read says they're supposed to have a sweet fragrance. But hey, if it continues to bloom like this, I can live without the scent. I have plenty of other plants that smell great, to make up for it.
