Beautiful! This is one of my favourite orchids. I have Psychopsis Mendenhall but it is still years from flowering.

I have a Psychopsis, it has been in bloom six months the flowers keep on coming. It is sometimes called Onc. Butterfly. It's a great plant. Jim.

Very appropriate, I think, it looks like one. Are they tricky to grow? I'd love one!

They are not hard to grow, one problem is the flower spike can get 3 or 4 feet tall, and growing under lights that is a problem. Jim.

Thanks Jim. Now that you mention it the one in my photo was probably about 3 feet tall. Very striking though. I think I'll read up on it and maybe add to my ever growing wish list

These Oncidiums are very cool to have.....they are a favorite of mine and a lot easier to grown then your average Oncidium. They bloom constantly off the same spike for sometimes well over a year.....very cool. We had a vendor selling them at our show last month and every single one got sold. They were absolutely huge plants too. *sigh* I sure spent a bundle that weekend, LOL!
