Default Psychopsis papilio or other Psychopsis

Hi
The pic brought me out of lurking. I live in the UK and I've tried every nursery here and some in mainland Europe all to no avail. I would kill for one of these guys

Regards to you all.
Cyrus

Hi,
I'm finding my Psychopsis "Kalihi" very easy to grow. It's in a Northeast window, is in blossom now with the next bud forming. It is also throwing out a new spike. A very unusual plant, I think "striking" is the word!

Grow on!

Dorothy, I must have seen 4-5 of these in the vendors table alone and at least one at the show itself. You however seem to have found a purple one, that I didn't see. Nice pic.

I am not sure if it's the lighting or that it has a blue/purple cast to it .. and at this time.. I just don't remember
There were so many beautiful orchids .. I was , awed and overwhelmed

I don't have the type, but I (am trying to) grow an albino variety of papilio and am having hard times with it, btw. The plant lost the roots a year ago while developing a new bud and then everything stopped. The plant shriveled a little bit, the bud stayed as it was and nothing more happened. And so it is now, a year later. Go figure!

Dorothy. Is Onc 'Kahihi Big' the name of that particular one. That one is to die for. I would give anything to find one like that. I like it so much better than the yellow ones.
