Dear friends,
I have noticed that the red markings on the Oncidium jonesianum lip are very diverse. Roughly I d say there are two types: (1)with many red dots, and (2) with little or almost no red dots on the lip. See:
I d love to hear some opinions: does anyone know if this variation of red dots is studied? are there any known registered clones? (my plant has got no dots, and now I want a clone with a lot of dots)
Is it geographical? Or could it vary from blooming to blooming within one specimen? Just let's not discuss var. binotii here - it is a clearly different thing.
