Default Mtssa. Dark Star 'Darth Vader' AM/AOS

I purchased this as a $5 division from the Willamette Orchid Society 2 years ago. This is it's first bloom and there are only 3 flowers. They're a bit crowded together as well. It definitely has potential though.

Nice bloom, Terri!

I have a Mtssa. Dark Star 'Orchidworks' but I like you're Trekkie one better . I think your 'Darth Vader' is more of a rich royal purple (nice) than mine. My Dark Star is on the Dark side (sorry, bad pun)

My Dark Star 'Orchidworks, rootbound in a 4 inch pot, put out 5 spikes in it's second bloom and each had 4 or 5 flowers so yours definitely has potential. The flowers on mine also cram together which is a downside.

bingo

Great blooms, Terri! I love the water marks and the little flip of the lip. Of course this one is fun just for the name, too!
