Here's a pic of the whole plant, as requested. It's in a 4" wooden basket. There are at least four other flower sheaths starting to poke out from between the leaf axils. I noticed a beautiful scent this morning, which it didn't have the first couple of days it was open.

Can you tell me a bit about it needs?

I'd be willing to bet it's the same plant. I haven't seen too many references yet to the separate species classification, maybe because it was fairly recent.
It seems almost ridiculously easy to grow: I keep it with the Paphs and Bulbos, but on an upturned pot so it's a bit closer to the lights (four T5 high output tubes). It gets a fair amount of humidity and good air movement. The plant doesn't seem to like to dry out, probably since the roots are very thin and wiry like a lot of its Oncidium-clan kin. It's growing in straight sphagnum moss, so I drench it whenever the moss feels dry to the touch, watering with weak MSU every fourth watering.

Wow, that's pretty. I just saw one on Ebay with a starting bid of $2500. The vendor had it as Milt. spectabilis var. moreliana

I'm growing it on my shelves indoors, and it seems to do just fine with intermediate temps -- around here, that means 70s/80s in the summer, 60s in winter, with a few degrees' drop at night.
