I was about ready to divide this plant when I noticed the beginning spike. So, I waited and was rewarded with this. Miltassia Shelob "Tolkien".

That's exactly the one I had posted about a week ago that was a mystery plant. I'm glad to know the name of it. Isn't it a great plant?

I have to say, for a $6 plant a year ago, it has been the easiest growing and blooming. I put it in a deeper pot when I got it, left it one spot for a year, and watered once a week.

On the downside...no fragrance. The real downside is that I want more Brassias and Miltassias. Not that wanting is bad, but I'm out of room. And Lena, you are partly to blame for this side shoot of an obsession; I saw an awful lot of nice plants when I was trying to pin down what yours was.

Bwahahaha.. ..

For me if you really get your nose to the center of the plant there is a slight fragrance. Maybe I'm just lucky.
