Default Lockhartia Gold Speck

This one was upset with me for some reason last year and did nothing at all

I guess I'm forgiven for whatever it was because this year, she's starting to put out a bunch of new growths along with a number of buds growing right now

This plant is gorgeous whether it's blooming or not and I'm very happy it's doing a turn-around

Beautiful plant. It is encouraging to see that it can take the heat.

The blooms on this are very small, maybe 3/4" from top to bottom. When the plant really gets back into shape and blooms the way it used to, the whole thing will be covered by these little cuties

Wow! I think I've seen this at a the Seattle Home and Garden Show before. I wish now that I had gotten it! What an awesome plant! I love the growth habit, and the flowers not bad either.

Thanks for showing me what this chid looks like when it grows up. Now I'm going to have to get one for myself!

Hi Evan

I sometimes see either of the parents at orchid shows or online but don't remember ever having seen this hybrid (except for when I bought it, of course ) If I do see it someplace, I'll let you know

I just found something interesting in Orchidwiz about this one. It's originator is Exotic Orchids of Maui and it was registered in 2004. I started my collection in early 2005 and this was part of my first EOoM order so I think this one may have been one of the originals

Hi Suzanne,

You are so inspirational...you've just inspired me to add this beauty to my wish list ...although it appears from your post I might have better luck finding its parents. In any case, I'll be hunting for it at teh Redlands Festival on the 15th.

Thanks for sharing with us...I love it...plant and blooms!

It really is a nice foliage plant and the flowers provide an extra bonus.
