The butterflies are back....
Well, all the psychopsis are starting there long blooming cycle. This one has a really nice sized flower on it....Pyp. Mariposa x Onc. kalihi 'Green Valley'

Jasen, these do so well for you, would you have any idea why the lip on mine will not unfurl? Nice sized bloom but the lip stays curled up.

I have an alba that has this problem (actually, it's the one pictured in my avatar), I think it's just bad genes. Just like a Cattleya that stays half-closed, I guess it's one of those traits that breeders try to breed out of them. Unfortunately, I think the flowers that we have that are doing this, will probably do it for the rest of their lives. My suggestion, buy another butterfly orchid.But then again....that seems to be my answer to everything!

Jasen that is a beautiful flower. However my butterfly remain in bloom year round. Wether it's from one of both of its spikes. I didn't know that they go to a rest.
