This is a very old hybrid (1931) that has often been mericloned (in several different forms). I understand that more recent mericlones have often altered genetically and the color and form are not nearly as good as the original.
Anyway, here it is - a reliable bloomer when kept cooler:

Magnificent, Ron. I fell in love with this one mannny years ago. You're right about many of the newer clones offered lately. They just don't look like the older ones.

I have an Aloha Sparks Red Eye that I don't like nearly as well as yours. What a lovely color and pattern yours has. However, mine is alive and doing well, so I should not complain. Grin. Carol
