Psygmorchis pusilla - Orchid Board

Had one of these years back. Bloomed well for me then died. Been looking for one since but the only times I had seen one available the price (including postage) was more than I was willing to spend. Saw one a couple months back at a show and picked it up. Cute lil bugger, IMO.

I have thought about getting one of those. Oak Hill Gardens has them now, but I am still going to wait till I have more room even though that is a tiny species I still wouldn't know where to put it.

Paul, nice plant... I love the spots on yours...

I had one similar to yours but it died after few months...

I recently bought a new plant, which happened to have bigger flowers, but almost no spots, or better said, so light in color that they are almost invisible

One of the tricks with this species is to force a rest period, cutting off all flowers spikes and letting the plant rest for few months... otherwise, the plant will literally bloom to death...

it's a great species and very "undemanding"

Hi;
I remember seeing them in low altitude(100m) forest in Ecuador.
I remember reading they are short lived in nature.The rest technique sounds interesting,and worth a try.They are great little plants.
