I grew Rossioglossum Grande at Narrabri for a few years. It did ok. My shade house never got as hot though as outdoors and I ran sprinklers over the top on really hot days to cool it off more.
I also grew odontoglossums in Brisbane in a wardian case indoors under T5 lights. I heard others have grown odonts there too in shade houses.
I think they can handle odd spikes in temp, so long as not all the time.
