It's awesome, I like that bright yellow and the shape of the flower... however I really like this bright yellow, I would like to see the flowers again when they fade as you say they do.
Good growing!
I also have several plants from the Oncidium alliance and as you, I let the medium dry before I water again. The pseudobulbs show me when it's time to water again. I have them too in a very coarse medium to help them dry faster. Mine like it pot bound but not too much, I suffocates the roots too if they are too crowded.

It says on the description attractive branching sprays of dainty pink flowers, I cant say for certain yet as it hasnt bloomed but it also is meant to be scented, the hint on letting them dry out is good for me I will bare that in mind. thank you

This is a really beautiful one Ethan, I love the color of it.
Congrats on getting it to bloom for you ~ sounds like you're doing well with it. I think it likes you
The ornithorhynchum is a very pretty lavendar/pink flower, the scent is just lovely Nice compact plant.
A bit of a bugger to bloom

I have one of those too Ethan. Mine only put on two blooms this year. I lost one spike due to underwatering. Guess that gave the blooms increased size, they are huge. It is hard to imagine an orchid hating Camille. Carol

Trust me to go for a hard to bloom one for my first Oncidium It is only a seedling so I have plenty of time to rack all your brains as to what I should do with the little guy, one thing I am sure at the moment is He isn't getting enough light but we are working on sorting something out for that. I am tempted to buy a couple more Oncidiums though I think they are so pretty. I especially love the yellow of this one and the markings.

Carol, it's interesting you bring up the two flowers being larger because there are only two. I think normal for this plant is 6 - 8. Mine only have 4 and are really big! I was talking to an orchid vendor at a show this weekend and he gave a good explanation - it's like a pie and if you cut the pie into 8 peices, your peices are smaller than if you cut it into only 4 (or two in your case ). I thought it was a neat way to look at it and it makes so much sense!!

Carol, I forgot to ask how the fragrance is on yours??
Mine is delicious! You tell the fragrance comes from the miltonia in it's background....smells just like a miltoniopsis that I once had and killed.

I never notice it. However others have said that it smells like lemon. I have to get right next to the flower to smell it. I love the blooms!

Those are beautifully developed flowers. It is my favorite Odm hybrid. The scent is wonderful. Unfortunately I lost mine years ago.
Do you grow this in a greenhouse?
