Pretty much the same as Ed does I keep mine on the north side of the greenhouse they get great filtered fight not direct sun
Summer max heat 86 nights to 55
Winter I cut the heat to 55 night 74 days the greenhouse gets misted 2 times a day 10 am 2 pm for a 1 min or 2 drys out before dark Humidity @ 40% most of the time
I have a acme tube fan runs full lenght of house and never is shut off.
Fertilize with injector water every 6 days .

Thanks Ed and Bob. I have read some people water every day and some once a week. Thats quite a difference. I know they like to dry out. How are yours potted/mounted?

Bob, what do you use for S/H pots for these tiny plants.

I grow mine in 2 1/2 in. pots with medium grade charcoal as a media. I never mist them and I water every other day with rain water. They get the highest light available in my greenhouse, about 5,000 foot candles for about seven hours. I try to maintain day time humidity at 40 to 60%. Night humidity in Fl. ranges in the 80's and 90's so it also gets high in the greenhouse. They are fertilized weekly with 3/4 tsp. of MSU and treated once monthly with fungicide and insecticide. The plants appear quite happy with what they are getting.

These plants must grow and do well under a varied range of conditions.

The New P/A I love it has smaller pebbles and really wicks the water up. I mist the new ones just transplanted automaticlly 2 times a day 10 Am/ 2 PM for 1 min. They are on 78-79 degree bottom heat for the duration of the change over. Usually 3 to 8 weeks. I have to see a root mass before I take them off the bottom heat.

I guess the bottom heat is primary to the overall success of transferring plants to S/H. The heat is conducive to new root growth. Ray suggested this and it is very logical when you consider the opposite scenario, cold and wet which induces rot.

I tried 4 cats 2 with the bottom heat 2 with out all four plants came out of 3" pots and were about the same size and had new growth . 4 weeks later I had roots really going in the bottom heat group and not half as good for the plants without.

So, your experiment proves it. I will make sure that I use it the next time.

Jerry It convinced me that I might be on to something it worked on 2 cats now I'm trying it on 10 of different plants only got two weeks on it and have mixed results which I expected but still looks promising
