Yay! Finally!
I first noticed tiny spikes on this plant at Thanksgiving - finally got some buds open this week!
The spike that is blooming has 2 open blooms with another opening.
There are two more spikes - one with 4 buds and one with 7!
I'm so excited!

Nice job! I might have to add this to my wishlist if yours produced this show in a north-facing window! I love the last picture. The backlighting is really pretty.

Congrats. Mine has already bloomed, it was done a few weeks back. Funny how they can all be on different schedules huh?

thanks all!

I would say to anyone that likes this one - get it if you can - I have read, and it's been my experience that this is a reliable bloomer and it's rather compact grower. I have about 8 or 9 pbulbs in a 3 inch pot and it isn't massively tall either - tho one spike I have this year is almost 2' but it is arcing so not actually taking 2' of vertical space.

I have wondered about the north window thing - had only recently heard that it isn't enough light to bloom plants ?
My african violets bloom well there, and had a pink polka dot plant that bloomed like crazy there - as well as catnip blooming a lot in that window ?
Stuff I wouldn't even think of bloomin lol
Does it depend on latitude maybe?
or maybe this is a topic for another thread lol

thanks for the kind words everyone
I hope the spikes will 'over-lap' in blooming and if so will post pictures. Last year the blooms lasted several weeks
