Default Huge Oncidium
Here's a photo I took a month ago of one of my mums Oncidiums whilst I was on holiday over there (E.Africa)
No Idea what species it is... Standing next to it the spikes were taller than me...OK I'm only 5'2"! but still..

It looks like an Oncidium sphacelatum. These things can get huge. I have one that is about four feet across.

That thing is HUGE!! The spikes looks absolutely amazing, like a cloud of bees or butterflys flying around. Your mom is one very good orchid grower!
