Oncidium splendidum
After two years of seemingly being on strike, this guy is finally blooming for me. The spike is 26 inches tall and has eleven flowers and buds. The flowers are pretty large for an oncidium, with the lip being close to 3 inches wide. And the leaves are also unlike those of the more familiar thin-leaved oncidium species, being quite hard and inflexible.

Very pretty. For a year and a half my Noid Dancing Lady put forth a lot of new growth but was reluctant to bloom. She finally broke her dry spell by producing 5 spikes early last spring and hasn't stopped blooming since. It sounds as though your plant has gotten past the stubborn stage, so the best is yet to come.

These guys are really a nice addition to any collection. Mine is an intergeneric (Miltonidium) but a nice one none-the-less. Mine is in early spike.
