Yes, Shirley, it's too hoot in the summer for most of the Odonto species. I have been growin Odonto harryanum, grande and pulchellum along with my Draculas and they are doing good. I also have been growing a beautiful Odonto Violeta Von Holm, but in this case I have only seen its flowers one time and never again. The plant simply refuses to develop. I guess temperatures are not suitable for it. I'd try others, but Odontos are not easy to find here.
