Default Here"s a unusual one.
This is the first flowering of this Alexanderara, there arn't many of these about. The full name is Alexanderara "Hec Hazelwood" it is a cross of Brasis x Cochiloda x Odontoglossum x Oncidium ( Alxra) It;s has 12cm flowers which are the well shaped,could be a winner.

Wow...that's stunning Masda. And to think that those blooms are 12cm wide.

It certainly sounds like a winner to me...I was just studying up on the Odontoglossum hybrids too.

Are you taking it for judging? If so, you'll have to let us know how things go. Good luck!

I was at the local orchid club on Tuesday night where there are several national judges and although it won orchid of the month by popular vote, there was no mention of judging it for an award.

Well Masda,

It's beautiful nonetheless. I actually just learned about Odontoglossum and its hybrids on Saturday at my local Judging Center. The Alexanderara was one of the complex hybrids we discussed. Thanks for your post.
