Default Burrageara Stefan Isler 'Lava Flow' - in flower

I have had this for 15 months; first got it with 2 spikes (june 2007) but has only grown one spike this time ..although has several other new growths which are maturing.

I really like it too! I have 'Nelly Isler' because of the fragrance, but have been looking for 'Stefan Isler' because I love the colors and how the spikes have a tendency to hang. I don't think I'll get it though, as Nelly and I don't get along very well. This is my 3rd one, and I'll killing it like I killed the two previous ones. I don't get it. Many of my orchids are florishing in my care, but all the 'Nelly Isler's I get end up dying on me within a few months....

It's not far from my Cattleyas in front of a south facing window although further away fom the window (2/3 feet) and have noticed it likes being watered like my other Oncidiums.... the spike grew at a 90° angle... will do better next time !
