Cischweinfia sheehanae second bloom
This was sheehanae last year in the fall (2007):
This year, it has grown a bit:
I'm planning on repotting for one more year, then I'll need to divide, because I haven't the shelf space in the tank for much larger than a 1" pot size increase. It is very fragrant during early morning and late afternoon - not so much mid day. Not like Angraecoids can be, but very pleasant.
Thanks for looking.

Awesome, Ross! Look at all that growth and all those blooms. I'm going to show your pics to mine for inspiration. Nice growing, as always!

It looks great Ross! Must be a very happy plant for it to have grown so much in just a year!

Ross,
It's gorgeous, and becoming a wonderful specimen plant. Well done!
I love to see the two pics for comparison sake. It really shows that you've given this guy everything it needs.

David, it's interesting you say this. I do seriously believe that if I were to give this plant a large pot to expand into and the whole center of the tank, it would increase in bulk like 4 times over this next year! That's really not acceptable with the limited space I have. I tried holding it back in the same small basket and the roots just went outside and around, and around, and then again outside. Nothing seems to hold it back. Am I complaigning! Naw! I'm just thinking division is in the picture in the next year or so. I may place a section up for grabs on the "For Trade" section.

Ross,
Although my space is probably less limited than yours, I understand the concept of limits...I've recently had a small sale to make room in my space for new additions, and more importantly, for some plants that I just wanted to grow larger.
I suppose that while there is always room for another orchid, we sometimes need to respect the limits of our space.
