Default Psychopsis Mendenhall Hildos

This plant has been growing a spike for weeks now. This morning, I bumped into the spike and the tip broke off. Will it still grow? I am so so sad.

Yikes, don't you just hate it when that happens! If it's just the tip that got broken, it should send out a side shoot, or two. Good luck.

Awww man that's a shame. I feel for you. Every time I do that it makes my stomach turn. Sadly it will probably not grow, but it's not impossible...stranger things have happened.

It wiil grow. I did the same with one of mine and since that time it's bloomed over and over.

These plants are more determined to bloom than any others I have.

I transplanted one 2 months ago and cut the spike to encourage new growth and roots. The cut spike put out a side branch which I cut again a month ago. Now it put out a second side branch on the old spike which I will let flower since the new growth is nearly mature.
