I just bought a Pacific Red Star which is my first orchid. Instructions on care especially prunning and watering were poor and sometimes contradictory.

Can you help?

I grow mine with my cattleyas, which is moderate light (mine get 2500-3000 fc). Mine is potted in fine to medium bark and I water it 2x a week. They like to dry out moderately between waterings, but don't let them get completely dry. Temp range of 55-85 F, though mine don't really get below 65 F because I grow inside and just can't get my guest room that cool at night. I will move them outside during the fall to take advantage of the cooler night temps, though.
