Default Miltonia regnellii var. xanthina

I bought this sweetie early this spring with four developing bulbs. Mostly I actually bought it for the fact that it was supposed to be yellow instead of white, I don't really like the white one (don't know why). But anyway, its been out on the balcony since late spring and during the whole summer and the bulbs have completed their developments nicely and are now rewarding me with seven spikes. First flower opened about two weeks ago, the other ones are starting to open now.

I have it hanging in some shadow facing south, give it a LOT of water during growth and some fertilizing when I remember. Isn't it quite breathtaking?

I just have one thought about the name of it though, should it really be var. xanthina or should it be var. citrina? I don't find many pictures of them on the net, but the ones I find tend to look the same...

Asa,
Well, there isn't a described variety named 'xanthina' for this species, however, your plant is correctly known as Miltonia regnellii f. citrina. Very nice plant, and I love the bronze coloration!

Yeah, that is just sublimely beautiful, Asa. The coloring is so soft and elegant. Gorgeous! You seem to be taking care of her well.

What a wonderful color combination! She is obviously happy. You've done a great job. Could we have another picture when more buds have opened?
