is this a spike on an oncidium?

could someone tell me if this is a spike or a new psuedobulb on this oncidium?
it is coming up between the psuedobulb and the leaf.

Looks like a new p-bulb starting. Spikes are rounder, thinner and don't look layered.

possibly a new p-bulb but that is usually where spikess come from. i had a dendro spike and everyone here said it was a keiki but it turned out to be a spike. can you post a pic when it gets a little bigger?

I think you have a new growth, usually spikes come right after, or while the Pseudobulbs mature. I have had spikes shoot up and flower even before the bulb was half grown.

Definitely a new growth, but that's a good sign!! Give it a happy pat well done

Keep it happy and it may spike off this growth, the previous growth looks happy. Sometimes they just skip a flowering and continue growing.
