Hi Sun Rm,
Sorry you couldn't access the link, everytime I post a new picture to the album the address of the 'old picture' changes and I've added some new phal photos lately.

Here is the album address:

And here is the Sharry Baby address:

Ours look the same and the beauty spot doesn't seem to be anything diferent. Some have them, some don't.

Thanks for looking,
Al

Sun Rum, is Short Sharry really short? If it is I'm all over it!

Al

Thanks for the picture. I really like the close-up.

Quiltergal

My Short Sharry has leaves from 10-13 in. measured from The top of the pseudobulbs. I should note that I grow it in good light and water culture in vases where they have plenty of nutrition with ~120ppm of Nitrogen. The pseudobulbs are very fat measuring 3.5 in. across and the spike was 4+ft. before I started training it into a loop. I got it about 20 years ago so I believe this is one of the earlier clones of Short Sharry. I keep them in a vase because it is easier to divide. I only keep 3 mature pseudobulbs at a time to keep it light and compact and give the rest away.

Well I guess short is a relative term! It's too big for my space, but I still love it!

Quiltergal

I forgot to add that the bright color has to do with back-lighting the flowers with natural light so my clone may not be any brighter than others in dull light.

The same goes for my picture, taken early in the morning with eastern light behind it. It really brings out the red in the blossom.

Too big for me even if it does have polka dots. I'll just slobber on Al and Sun Rm's pictures.
