Default Odontocidium Wild Cat 'Yellow Cat'

Here is a plant that I'm really enjoying, originally sent to me in error! The colours are very rich and the blooms last for three months or more. The spikes are so long this time that, when I back away to get a picture of the whole plant, my blue background material isn't large enough. I hope you like it!

What a gorgeous gift you got in error!
Here's my theory of what I think actually happened. I think orchids pick us and no error actually occurred. The Wild Cat wanted to be placed with you and jumped into the box and threw out everyone else.

Very nice Shirley! Just be warned, this guy will get BIG! I have a 'Bob Cat' that I just moved into a 12 inch pot. It has three huge new growth starting, and just finished its last blooming in June. If it likes you, it will take over the whole house. Have fun with your new pet, and keep us posted.

Beautiful orchid with so many flowers. I wonder why they call it "Yellow Cat" when only the paws are yellow?

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

Kim, I hope I won't have to move to a bigger house!
