I thought I'd post these as I am very excited about how my Psychopsis is doing.

That's fantastic! It's fun to have two or three open at the same time. I'm waiting for spike #4 now. Should appear this summer.

I have one of these that has a big fat bud at the end of a 3' spike. I'm dying to see it open up. Should be any day now (fingers crossed).

The flower spike has a "v" about two or three nodes down from the tip where it looks like there's another branch off the spike. Any idea what this could be?

Thanks.

You've done it before Doc. Make room!!! I really have 4 psy's. One other with one spike that blooms regularly and two other babies.

There are a number of species and hybrid crosses. They all look much the same, yellow with various shades of brown stripping except for the alba's that are yellow with only a very light stripping showing as white. Size of blossom is also a bit different with the species.

I'm sure there are others with much more knowledge than me with all the species. Hope they chime in as I've really condensed it. YW
