Sharry Baby going to Bloom?

My sharry baby has almost finished/ or finished growing a pseudobulb. When I looked in between the leaves at the base of the plant, I thought I saw the beginning stages of a flower spike. I bought this plant out of flower half a year ago, so I am not sure about its blooming pattern, or how long it takes the pseudobulb to mature. Would it be possible for this plant to flower so soon after growing a new growth?

Also, if this is a bloom, the previous bulb (which is blooming size, since the small growths before that have dried stems), has not bloomed. Would it be possible for that pseudobulb to still bloom?

Here are some pictures of the plant which I think may have a spike It actualy more of a 'nubbin' (as lots of you like to say )so it is too hard to take a picture of, so I may have to wait a few days/ weeks until I can take a proper picture.

Cam, I saw your post yesterday but have almost the same question so didn't answer.
I bought my Sharry Baby last summer in spike/bloom. It lasted all summer and I didn't cut the spikes and I got side branches that also bloomed.
Mine is in spike right now (only 1) but I haven't paid much attention to where it is coming from. I'll check later today when the sun rises.

Oh then maybe you could help me! I am aware of where the spike comes from, though I am unaware of how long it takes for the plant to decide to bloom after a new pseudobulb has matured. Did your new spike appear just as the pseudobulb matured? I think I can see a tiny 'thing' where a spike could come up, but I was unsure, as it is hard to take a picture of it, and it could be a dorman bud or sumthin.

Cam, I just checked my plant and the new spike is coming from pseudobulb about the size of yours.
I do not think they will bloom again from an old bulb....only from new. I guess you just have to keep watching and if it is a spike it will show itself soon enough. Mine is about 14" long now and seems to grow about an inch a day. Last years spikes were 3 to 4 feet. I think I'm only going to have the one this year although there are 5 new small new bulbs.

Wish I could help more but this plant is new to me to, first time blossoming from my care.

I will keep watching mine I hope its a bloom!

hmmm... I was hoping the other pseudobulb would bloom... There are 5 small er bulbs that have bloomed before (old cut stems are visible), but the largest one that grew right before this new one, is just as big, but has never bloomed... hmmm well... well see

I have a similar oncidium and I'm not certain what's happening. It seems the plant will only bloom if it's produced a lot of new roots, has plenty of water and feed and flower from a new bulb. Mine has about 3 old bulbs that have pretty much shrivelled up, and about 4-5 new very small bulbs. Only one seems to be producing a spike. It's about 5 inches tall now. God knows how long it's going to be when it finally flowers. And no idea if the other bulbs will flower. Perhaps it depends on how strong the plant is and how many supporting bulbs there are. If there's a lot of healthy supporting bulbs, I'm sure the plant will produce more spikes.
