Cam, I just checked my plant and the new spike is coming from pseudobulb about the size of yours.
I do not think they will bloom again from an old bulb....only from new. I guess you just have to keep watching and if it is a spike it will show itself soon enough. Mine is about 14" long now and seems to grow about an inch a day. Last years spikes were 3 to 4 feet. I think I'm only going to have the one this year although there are 5 new small new bulbs.

Wish I could help more but this plant is new to me to, first time blossoming from my care.

I will keep watching mine I hope its a bloom!

hmmm... I was hoping the other pseudobulb would bloom... There are 5 small er bulbs that have bloomed before (old cut stems are visible), but the largest one that grew right before this new one, is just as big, but has never bloomed... hmmm well... well see
