I give them about the same light as a multifloral Paph. They're very easy to grow, but get big fast. I just cut the spike on this one yesterday, but I saved some pollen to try and cross it with my Brs Datacosa when it opens.

I moved it to a basket with a tree fern and sphagnum mix. I count 5 new growths, hopefully I'll get a big show next spring.

Unhappy Flowers falling

Hello !

Last week I bought a brassia Loo Nishida and, once installed home, the flowers become red coloured and fall.

Could you, please tell me wich is the temperature necessary for that kind of orchids and if it needs full light or medium light ?

I have moved it to the veranda where temperature is higher than inside the house, but I'm not sure if I done well.

Thanks a lot.

Troye

What a wild looking plant!

Troye -
I brought a Bratonia home and within 24 one of two spikes had all flowers turn red and die, but the other one has held up until recently when a few flowers are fading one by one. That's all I have to share about that, you might be best looking up Brassia desired cultures cuz maybe it needs different conditions or maybe it was adapting?

Default Tranks for your reply

Thank you very much for your reply. I also think that it's probably because adaptation is a little difficult, but I would like to know if yours is in a cool or hot spot and also if there is shaded light or plenty light.

Excuse-me if there are fault in my English but I'm not English.

Thanks a lot.
