Could depend on the specific Onc. ?? Many will certainly re-bloom from previous growths.

Oncidiums bloom from their new, mature growths. At least mine do. I don't know if there are any that bloom on old previously bloomed growths, but I doubt it.

well since you can get spikes from either side of the pseudobulb, would it be possible for a plant to bloom off the old growth if only only one spike came from that mature pseudobulb the year before?

The new growth will come from one side of the bulb or other. I don't think they will bloom and put out a new growth from the same side. So if it bloomed from both sides it wouldn't be able to send out a new growth.

I would agree that anything is possible with orchids. Tho I've never seen two from the same pseudo.

no but say miltoniopsis, sharry baby, or whatever, some times you get one from a pseudobulb, and sometimes you get two growing at the same time, one on each side of the pseudobulb. If only one spike is sent up this year, next year, in addition to the spike on the new growth, could another spike appaear on the mature growth?

thats confusing and hard to explain... lol
