I grow both in the same conditions. Basement under lights. Medium light. Winter temps 53-73, Summer temps 65-80. Good air movement. Bark and chunky perlite.

I also killed a sauvis before, I believe it was overwatered. I used clear pots this time and paid close attention to root development.

Looking at your temps and the fact you successfully grow in your basement, I'm going to give this a go in my house! Lets see what it thinks to the UK windowsill light - I also have LED grow-lights if it needs supplementing.

How wet do you find this likes to be?

Both of your bloom photos are gorgeous! It is lamentable that we have ways to see things from far away, listen to things from far away, but no way to smell things from far away!

I water when the top half of the pot is dry, similar to how I water oncidiums
