Milt. Sunset needs your help!

So let me just say this has been going on for a few months, a slow decline and I'm not really sure where to go with this orchid or if I should bin it and try again later.

It started with the newest pseudobulb turning brown at the bottom, it continued to brown but stayed firm it had a new growth growing and the roots were healthy it progressed to being a little mushy so I decided to cut away the bulb leaving it with two bulbs.

Now the second bulb is starting to brown from the top down and it also had started a new growth. If I have to cut this one off I'm going to be left with just one bulb and that doesn't give me much hope.

I've only had it a few months. I did move it from under the grow lights but then the second bulb began to brown so I'm not sure it's the grow lights.

I'm hoping someone here with more experience than me can offer more insight. I doubt it can be saved but I'm willing to try.

You're not watering enough. The leaves and pseudobulbs are wrinkled. This kind of orchid needs to stay moist, which means not even approaching dry.

Don't cut parts off. They will die naturally. You might cut something that would survive.

I would also back off on the light until it plumps up. You can give it more light once it's growing well again.

Long term, it would be much happier outside in summer with much warmer temperatures than inside your house. You can look up species ancestry on orchidroots.com, then look up species growing conditions on orchidspecies.com .

Thanks so much for the feedback, I will not cut anything off although the browning bulb is actually getting mushy around the top.

I've moved it so that it's only grow light adjacent not directly under them, and I've managed to up the temperatures to 78/79F. Pests are they only thing that really keep from growing outdoors it's a constant battle.

Thank you so much! I'm definitely hoping it pulls through I was very excited for this orchid.
