Tolumnia Spike? Male
Default Tolumnia Spike?

I've had this tiny Tolumnia growing in a terrarium, maybe for a year or so.
It's put out a few new leaves over time, but otherwise not very impressive, and I was considering moving it.

BUT, a couple of days ago, I noticed this new and different-looking growth - Is this a spike forming?
If so, I dare not touch it :~)

Well, that would be great!
It would be the first orchid I've grown, that actually bloomed :~)

Give it time. Mine exploded when i enclosed it, growing a fan larger then all other combined. That said, it had a forming mini-fan when i moved it inside, so it had a growth point. I would just keep it relatively moist and wait, blooms are usually good.
