Baby Raspberry Chocolate...Raspberry or Moth Balls?

I told myself I wouldn't fall for the chocolate fragrance orchids. But then I saw Raspberry Chocolate.... Searching online there are lots of variables on how it smells. Anyone care to share their thoughts? Also does it bloom multiple times a year? (Assuming it is happy?)

I have a young Oncidium Aka Baby 'Raspberry Chocolate' (Oncidium Jimbo x Oncidium Sharry Baby) that bloomed for the first-time last July and had 12 blooms that remained for 5 weeks.

The fragrance can be described as sweet (not really raspberry) with a hint of chocolate. I could smell it several feet from the plant.
Sense of smell is so subjective; we could smell the same flower only to give different descriptions, but I would say it was pleasant.

I have 2 new growths that fingers crossed will give me lots of dark red and white blooms this year

That seems like a nice first bloom! I imagine that many factors go into the fragrance. I did see more than one that posted it smelled of moth balls. Glad yours is much nicer than that. How big does this grow?

I read that AKA Baby were bred to have shorter spikes than Sharry Baby, which people have complained are too long.

Mine is still young and I don’t know how big it will get.
Oncidium Jimbo is a smaller hybrid and Sharry Baby can get big so maybe AKA Baby gets some of Jimbo’s mini characteristics.

Is easy to grow.
I have mine in small/medium Orchiata bark and perlite in a plastic pot (no slots).
I water every second day in the warm season and every third day in cold season, but I have on a seedling heat mat. I notice the pbulbs start to wrinkle if I wait to water longer.

I thought I had a picture of the bloom somewhere, but I can’t find it.

Thanks for the info. Odd how hard it is to find average plant height information for orchids. I have seen the pics of the blossoms, which I like better than Sharry Baby. I do have Pacific Sunrise Hakalau, which is supposed to be about 12" and is also supposed to have the chocolate scent. It is very young, and I got it in an assortment I ordered.
Don't expect to see blooms on that any time soon!
Mine are under lights and I have them in a "mini" greenhouse stand. I added a humidifier to boost the humidity as our house is dry in the winter. They are growing like little weeds.

My next Onc. purchase will be Oncidium Gold Dust.
This one is a small plant with bright yellow blooms and also easy to grow.
I saw one in bloom recently and it had a great sugar cookie smell.

That is another one I got in my assortment. The color of the blossoms can vary from what I gather. Mine is doing well. I enjoy watching the new growths come, the blossoms will be a bonus. I just got a Rex's Luck Firefly, which is different. Supposed to smell lightly of honey.
