I saw the pic of your Dark Star. I have Mtssa. Dark Star 'Orchid Works' but it looks just like your pic. I am new to this and would appreciate some info since your look fab.
Mine is potted in lava rock I think. The water just runs right through the pot. I feel like I should water it every day since nothing stays in the pot. It has been blooming for a mo. now, but the first flower is already drying up and fading. I don't understand the light requirements. I have a light meter that goes from 200 to 2000 but I don't know if it measures candle feet.
I am so new I don't even know how to post a pic yet, but I will learn that shortly. Thanks, Lea

Hi Lea
To be honest, this picture was the last time this guy was in bloom! He was very unhappy for quite some time, thought he was a goner but he recently started looking better so...
I may not be the person to be giving advice on this one
