Default Miltassia Mar fitch Howards Dream

Purchased Miltassia Marfitch from a nursery. The pseudobulbs are so flat and wrinkled that I don't believe they will recover.
The nursery stated that's how this type of orchid grows.
Is this true?

That’s how it grows when it isn’t getting enough water, whether that is because of underwatering or if the root system is compromised.

A well-grown plant with have thick, shiny pseudobulbs.

That is pretty far gone, it's going to need a lot of TLC.

If it can generate enough "oomph" for a new growth it will make it. (the existing pseudobulb will not plump up most likely) The bark looks pretty large. These don't like to dry out, so you'll need to water every couple of days.

Yep, that puppy is starving for water! Increase the humidity by putting it in a plastic bag or something to add a ton of humidity, and give it some water. Be careful on the watering because if the roots are trashed, the extra water will do no good. The increase in humidity should help it recover. Obviously, the nursery had no idea what they were talking about.

While there's green, there's hope!
