Onc. sharry baby dies out fast

Hi!!

My Onc. sharry baby has been drying out fast these days the plant is very large for a 4"pot, and has 2 new growths. Here in Montreal, over the last 3 weeks, it has gone from winter to summer I was wondering if anyone else has this problem, and needs to water their oncidums that often during the summer months. I watered it on thursday night, and now it is dry,(saturday evening), and I just watered it again. I hear this type likes to dry out a bit, and the new growth shows no signs of pleating yet, so it don't think it is being overwatered

That's why they are in small pots... so they dry out quick... so when it's dry just water it! I've been having to water mine more, as it heats up and they use up more water during growth periods....

Everyone needs to water differently from the next person. When the temps here in Virginia get to 80's I water every 2-3days, 90's I water everyday for most of my orchids growing in my shadehouse(Sharry Baby is one of them). They like to dry slightly but keep them from going bone dry.

I let mine get pretty dry, but the new leaves aren't pleating, so I think it should be okay

Pleated leaves means they aren't getting enough water?
