Give it the same treatment as your Psychopsis.

I'm with Estación Seca...Here for the fern!!

I've been trying to grow a maidenhair fern for YEARS. Never a long term success. Putting into semi-hydro? Well, what the heck. Of all the things I didn't try. {{insert Smack-My-Head emoji here}} Gotta go find myself a new MH fern now!

I get ferns popping up all over the place. I used to like it. But like Ray said they can kill orchids. I've lost some dendrobiums to the pots just becoming a solid mass of fern roots because I thought I'd just let them coexist.
Some orchids I've noticed seem to like to germinate in epiphytic fern root masses (Sobralias and Coryanthes come to mind) so I'll allow the fern to stay alive, but I'll keep it struggling by only ever allowing one frond at a time to make sure it doesn't outgrow the orchid. Been doing this now for over a year and it seems to be working well. But in pot's, I'd get rid of them.
