I live in Montreal Canada, but the summers are still pretty hot. I read that temperatures over 30 degrees celcius is too warm, though a few days here and there won't hurt. From September to June, mine is indoors, with average household temperatures.

Gloria/Lagoon has helped me out quite a bit, and has given me lots of information!
Thank you for the info! I really want to get another one but I suppose I should wait to see if I can get mine to bloom again one day. lol I guess I'm mostly worried about how hot it may get under the lights in the summer. But only time will tell! Meanwhile I can enjoy pics of yours....

Sarah, my NOID has been under the lights in a south window since October. I've had it for 3 years and it did absolutely nothing. About a month ago I noticed a spike emerging! I was shocked. Couldn't believe my eyes. The first bud opened this morning and is a lovely dark red with a small white waterfall on the lip. So, expect good things from yours!

I bought two when I was just getting used to orchids. I was more concered about the roots, they were suffering from root rot, but still flowered the next year!! Oh and the one in the pic is one of the two They obviously arent as hard to grow as they seem

Oh btw, what is the name of yours? Is it red tide?
