Oncidiums just out of flask. Advice please

Ive just recieved a box of Oncidium seedlings today. Yes the post lady delivered them today, Sunday!

They are a cross between Onc. Dawn Glow 'Spots' x Odtna Tropical Heatwave, seller said there were 7 plants.

They were deflasked on 1st December and repacked into the plastic box with sphagnum moss for postage.

I was planning on planting in a community pot with sphagnum, but after removing some of the sphagnum to check out the size of the plants and roots they look really good so Im not sure what is the best to do.
Compot with sphagnum, compot with small Orchiata, or individual pots with either sphagnum or Orchiata?
Other options are kept inside or outside, heat mat is available.

hey there, you are right they are looking very healthy.

Certainly better than the oncidium seedlings I got this year.

If it was me I would leave them as they are, without lid in a high humidity dome/environment for space saving and watering reasons.

Whatever you go for, they have a decent root system so as long as you don't keep them too cold and the roots not too wet, then you should do fine potting them all up individually too.

It depends on your growing conditions.... I would put some in long fiber sphagnum moss, and some in semi/hydroponics. For sphagnum, pick up some damp moss, wrap it around the roots to make a sphag/orchid sushi roll, and stuff it tightly into a pot. Use a clay pot if you have warm conditions and want some evaporative cooling; otherwise use plastic. Water them once with a mycorrhizal/beneficial bacteria treatment if you can get it. Keep humidity around the recently repotted seedlings as high as possible for a few weeks.

I looked up the ancestors on bluenanta.com (where they have different nothogenera names) and the species involved on IOSPE. There is a mixture of warm and cool growing ancestors, so it should be temperature tolerant.

I was so surprised to find such excellent roots, after a better look a couple of the seedlings have formed small pseudobulbs.
Needless to say the seller has gone on my preferred seller list.

Thanks ES. I plan on following your advice about long sphagnum and potting in a compot.
I feel a little more confident about watering using the full sphagnum now.
Thanks again for the further info on the ancestor plants. I did take a look myself and was hoping I had understood the results correctly.
