Default Where can I get a great Sharry Baby?

Hi all. My sister asked me what I want for my birthday, and I would like a Sharry Baby. She can spend about $30 total on the whole deal, shipped to Iowa. I'm a little paranoid, so I need some suggestions--where from, no bugs, etc. And I kinda want a big one. Thoughts? First Rays is working on something right now on their web site, so it looks like that is down for the moment. BUT, I can wait if that is the best place to go. All suggestions welcome!!

Oak Hill has excellent plants and great customer service. Never heard of anyone getting a plant with bugs or bad roots from them. Not sure how much shipping is. It's probably not too bad from IL to IA. Just checked and S&H is $12.50, so you'd be under budget.

I've actually been to Oak Hills when I lived in Chicago and it's fantastic. I've also been to Hausermann's. But being there in person is different then shipping, so I'm glad to hear you've had luck with them. The people there are super nice and they have a gazillion orchids, including some really BIG ones!

That link takes you right to their Sharry Baby. It's only $15 and in a 5" pot! Pretty good deal I'd say.

I have two Sharry Baby plants. Both I got from Lowe's. Neither was too big when I bought them, but I think they grow fast for orchids. Mine puts out a couple of growths at a time lately. Good Luck, it's my favorite plant that I own, and I'm sure you'll love yours!
