Question New Odontaglossum/Oncidium

Everyone I want to share a new 'chid' that I purchased yesterday at our new Trader Joe's in Bend, Oregon. They have so many orchids and all were in great shape. I browsed through all and found one that I didn't have. The only tag showed:
Intergeneric Odontoglossum/Oncidium

No name.... Does anyone recognize this orchid . I surfed last night until 1 am and could only find one that resembled it. This orchid was grown by Matsui Nursery, Inc. in Salinas, Calif.

Any help would be appreciated.

See

Hi,
I think it looks a lot like Beallara Tahoma Glacier. It's really nice plant and fairly common. I have a cousin of it, Beallara Peggy Ruth Carpenter 'Morning Joy' which has light purple instead of white on the petals.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info on my Oncidium. Trader Joe's so far have the best looking orchids around town.
Most of the big box stores carry the same Phals most of the time.

I'll bet that, if you contacted Matsui Nursery and sent them the picture, they would identify if for you.

Just for your knowledge bank, Beallara (abbreviated as Bllra) is an intergeneric. This means a cross between two of more specific genera. In this case it is Brassia x Cochlioda x Miltonia x Odontoglossum. I refer to mixes like this as "complex intergenerics". Hopefully it is fragrant for you. I know Peggy Ruth Carpenter is very fragrant.
