RUN don’t walk to the big box store
I won’t promote any business that doesn’t pay me but I scored at my local home improvement giant store today. (Pm me of really need to know)
They had a tray of about 25 oncidium hybrids of various name for 7.98. Bloom size, most with ID tags. I happened to have a gift card and left with five and some pvc fittings for my bog garden
I got four with tags and on NoID bc it was growing out of the pot and was begging to be mounted and it had a nicely developed inflorescence.
I have not researched the plants yet but I am looking forward to seeing what they are all about.
My phone is being annoying and not giving me embed tags so I’ll just upload the ID tags as a tease until tomorrow

There's no problem mentioning vendors on this forum.
My local Home Depot in PA got in a slew of Maudiae-type paphs once and I bought them all for $5 each. My local Lowes here in Southport NC mostly has phals, but will get in a vanda or two every now and then.
The HD is 20 miles away, and they're stuck on phals.

Yes, please name drop this big box home improvement store so don't have to drive to both Home Depot or Lowes. Even though they are virtually across the street from each other where I live

How interesting. I have never seen ID-tagged orchids at any of my nearby big box stores, grocery stores, or any other retail store that sells the mass-grown orchids. The most I've seen is a genus name, but even that is rare.
Nice haul!

Nice haul. I have the Eye Candy 'Pinkie', very nice plant. Mine has a light fragrance.
Big box home improvement stores often have good plants. My Lowe's (unfortunately) went through a period where they only had un-tagged Phals, but they have started having more tagged plants and more variety again. They have always had the younger bagged orchids (also good).

Well my Home Depot had absolutely nothing but the generic NOID phals. Lowe’s did have some paphs. and new bag babies. Came home with an Angraecum and Paphiopedilum.
