It's difficult because the plastic body degrades. Many people leave them outside. Plus the factory molds get old.

As to the character key. I had to learn to use that when working on my MA. However, ES, I have never found that on my phone.

On a Windows desktop, Alt + xxxx only works with the keyboard number pad, and does not work with the row of numbers above the letters. On some keyboards, especially laptops, the number pad is embedded in the letter keyboard on the right. The NumLock must be toggled On for any keyboard number pad to work.

On most phone keypads, long-pressing a letter brings up a box for selecting alternate forms of that letter. You will probably find ń if you long-press n on your phone. To get a capital Ń you must first press the Shift key then long-press the N.

I know how we got here!! And I'm lovin' it! And actually I do know how to be punctuation correct. Have it set up on Word to go automatically. For this, I'm just darned lazy!

Was a proofreader/editing in a former life... should be ashamed of myself. But hey! I'm retired!!

Mea culpa. Okay, back on topic. Who's the white one? I don't think I've seen a full picture of him/her.

And... is Moody Blues the first one you painted stars, spangles or whatever on the hooves? That's my very favorite about that one.

Carol, I know another woman whose hobby (one of them) is carousel horses. In fact, she has what I believe is an entire carousel and keeps it in a building on her property called, of course, the carousel building. From what I have heard, she is slowly working on restoring a 1922 Herschel-Spillman carousel. I'm not sure how long she's been involved in doing this, and I know the project often gets put on hold, as she runs a large dog rescue on her property, too, but I know she holds that carousel near and dear to her heart.

I'd love for this to be a continuing thread and have you post updates as you work on more horses.

I'll do that as I progress, Cheri. These aren't true carousel horses, or I'd be ruining the worth by painting them. I like to think I'm giving old toys new life.

I understand. I realize now you never did refer to them as carousel horses, that was my term. All my life, I have loved horses of all kinds, real or man-made. They are beautiful, and I'm very glad you are giving them new life, as you say.
