oh my ! that's not good... hope you're alright now, allergic reactions in the mouth and/or throat are not fun! i have that to hazelnuts, i know it feel's not so endearing.

I had the same reaction to fresh peaches for many years before I found out that it's a medical condition (oral allergy syndrome), not a personal quirk.
Anyhow, it pretty much went away in a few hours, everything's ok now, thanks for asking.

same for me, i also have OAS, to watermelons too, but not very badly.
