All good here in the Raleigh area. Friday was the windiest day, and I spent most of it without power. Fortunately, I was prepared. Today (Saturday) the wind has calmed a bit, but it's been torrent after torrent. Also, very fortunate that there's been no flooding in my area given how hard it rained today.
Wednesday, the day before the wind and rain started, I brought in as many of my outdoor plants as possible. Eventually I ran out of space, energy, and motivation. I clustered the remaining plants together in protected spots and used tomato stakes to try and anchor them a bit. That worked pretty well, though if the storm had been a lot worse, I'd have probably gone out and tried to squeeze a few more indoors.
Today the wind wasn't too bad even though it rained very hard off and on all day. I took everything back out except the succulents. I even put a number of my indoor-only plants out to soak up some hurricane rain.
Overall, this area lucked out, especially given that the early forecasts were showing the center of the storm was going to pass very close by.
