Selling online means you need to pay somebody to handle transactions. This is why sites like eBay and Etsy exist.

You can get so many free listings per month from eBay but the sellers fee is around 10% + paypal fees. These fees are not that much more than being an eBay store. Sellers fee 8% + paypal fees.
No matter what website I end up with I will still have a smaller eBay store. To ignore the eBay market place is not good for business.
